What am IAbout?

I am a media engineer currently living in Jyväskylä, Finland. I graduated from Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences in late 2017. During my studies I was mostly interested in graphic design, 3D-modeling and different styles of computer animation.

During 2016-2017 I worked as an intern at Zaibatsu Interactive, a mobile game company located in Jyväskylä, where I worked as a 2D-artist and designer in various projects. Since I have always been an avid gamer and interested in the medium as a whole, working in the gaming industry has always been a path I wish to pursue. After my internship ended I decided to learn Blender by myself since I already had some 3D experience with 3ds Max from school but couldn’t afford the hefty subscription fee.

My programming experience is mostly with different web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and WordPress (this site). I also have some experience with C# scripting alongside Unity. With the advent of AI assisted programming, I have been more adventurous with my programming pursuits, creating small python addons for Blender and testing some game ideas in Unity.

My personal interests and hobbies include drawing, studying 3D-modeling and animation, reading, comic books and listening to rock and metal music. During summer I enjoy exercise such as swimming and riding my bicycle.

Blender has been my go-to 3D program since 2018. Free, versatile and open source. Lots of addons, documentation and tutorials available for beginners.
I have used Substance 3D Painter since 2023. Now owned by Adobe, buy it off Steam if you hate the monthly subscription model.
I have used Photoshop for many years for image editing, touching up textures and for digital illustration.
Affinity Photo 2 is a great alternative for Photoshop. Similar UI and functionalities. No monthly subscriptions.
I somewhat know my way around Unity. I currently have a few game ideas I am prototyping.
